What's on my plate, and on my mind...
Bigger and stronger
I'm happy to report that Gilead Brook is growing. Our staff, as of this spring, includes two new jacks of all trades (one jack and one jill, really), who are helping with writing, client support, and other key responsibilities. More about how these two will be helping to improve the Gilead Brook customer experience soon, as well as some posts on this blog from themselves. Meantime, welcome!
Gilead Brook moves to Stony Brook
We're thrilled to have opened our offices in The Brewery, in Jamaica Plain. The Brewery Small Office Complex is a small business incubator located near the Stony Brook MBTA Orange Line Station, in what used to be the Haffenreffer Brewery buildings. The Boston Brewing Company (aka the Sam Adams Brewery) makes beer here now, and 30 or 40 other small businesses cohabitate, in 15 buildings under the old haffenreffer smokestack, now somewhat foreshortened, and reading: "FENREFFER". If you're in the neighborhood, drop by: Building P, Floor 3.
About the name
The Gilead Brook is a tributary to the third branch of the White River in Vermont. It's a clear, fast-running, cold brook, full of trout, and good to wade and swim in. The company strives to be as simple, to make web sites as clear and easy to enjoy as the Gilead, and to do so quickly.
